Seasonal Activities
Our club offers a number of activities depending on the season of the year. For example, horseshoes, golf, and pickleball are offered during the spring, summer and fall whereas shuffleboard is a popular winter event. Please feel free to join in any and all activities. You will always be made welcome.
The 2023 golf season will begin in May and we meet every Thursday at 9 a.m. at the Chesley Lake Golf Course. The cost this year is an amazingly low price of $10. The starting time in July and August will be 8 a.m. Ladies and guests are always welcome to join in the fun.

Horseshoes was a new event in 2014 and with its ongoing popularity is about to begin its 10th season. Every Wednesday commencing on May 3rd we will begin play through until sometime in September. Never played horseshoes? All are welcome, no matter what level of experience you have. You will enjoy the company and the game.

Have you tried Pickleball yet? A few years back we began pickleball at the tennis/pickleball courts at Chesley Lake. Many eager players showed up on Monday morning at 9 a.m. and we spent two glorious hours in the out-of-doors enjoying the fastest growing sport in North America. So we are going to keep playing the game in 2018. For just $3 a person you can come and give it a try. If you prefer you can buy an annual membership to the Chesley Lake Tennis/ Pickleball club for an annual fee. Then you can play tennis or pickleball at any time you like by booking the courts. The club will supply the paddle and balls for our play on Mondays. Pickleball does rock and you can be a part of it. It all begins in June at 9 a.m. (check our calendar and weather permitting, of course). Just show up with court or running shoes and enjoy a good time with men and women who enjoy getting together for a little competition. Yes! Ladies are invited as well!! Learn the rules of pickleball. Shuffleboard is a game for the those inclined to play a less physical game than pickleball or even horseshoes. It's a game that appeals to many and perhaps you are one of them. Our Men's Club holds an annual Shuffleboard tournament in which all men are invited to participate. This tournament is held each year - usually in November or December - and takes place at the Sauble Community Centre and is hosted by the Sauble Sandpipers. The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Appeal is an activity that has proved to be both enjoyable and very productive. Over the years the men of our club have raised many thousands of dollars for the good work that the Salvation Army does at Christmas and throughout the year. Dave Fretz at Valu-Mart in Sauble Beach provides a warm environment to do our work. Please volunteer to "ring those bells" for the Salvation Army.
