Bocce Ball Tournament with Corn Roast & BBQ

A very keen group of 32 bocce ball enthusiasts gathered at the Sauble Beach United Church on August 22nd to enjoy a very successful event with 11 teams playing under ideal weather conditions.

The winners, Bob & Bette Mortley, were thrilled to be presented with the trophy & gift cards by our president Dennis Heathers & Vic Weitendorf
​

Once the competition ended the players were treated to a delicious meal which included burgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob, Dennis & Jo-Ann's country baked beans, refreshing cantaloupe slices, pop & water; a great deal for only $10. Special thanks to Dennis Heathers for helping to organize & prepare the meal and for Rick Schott who was on the grill & serving.

It was once again a perfect day for playing and the tournament was enjoyed by all in attendance.

The happy consolation round winners Rick & Kathe Holland were presented with gift cards.

​Thanks go out to Vic Weitendorf for organizing the Tournament, Cathy Roth who ran the cash & registered the players/teams and to Lloyd Sheridan who helped maintain the scoresheet for this popular event.
