Shuffleboard  Tournament

We had a very enthusiastic group of both experienced and novice shuffleboard players participate in our 3rd Annual Harvey Brush Memorial Shuffleboard Tournament at the Sauble Beach Community Centre.

A total of 16 shufflers participated and great fun was had by all throughout the tournament.

The games began at 9:00 a.m. sharp with a round robin tournament where each team played 4 games to compete for prizes and bragging rights.

At our half time break lots of good conversation along with coffee, muffins and donuts were enjoyed by all in attendance.

The winner of this year’s tournament was the team of Don Zimmer and Bill Cutting who went undefeated with 4 wins on the day scoring a total of 504 points.

Second place went to the team of Joe Podgornik and Keith Witmer and third place went to the team of Wayne Robinson and Alf Roth.
 

We remind everyone that shuffleboard is not just an annual one day event but is open to anyone wishing to play every Monday morning starting at 9:00 am at the Sauble Beach Community Centre.  No experience is required.
 

Our thanks go out once again to the organizers, Cecil and Joan Groves for the extra effort put in to make this annual event such a great success. We hope to see everyone back out there next year.
