2022 Dinner Meetings

              APRIL DINNER MEETING             SAUBLE & AREA MEN’S CLUB – APRIL 19TH

We want to thank all those members who responded to our SURVEY to help the Executive with the decision to bring back our Spring Dinner Meeting / we had over 50 positive responses which was great / therefore, we will be going ahead with the dinner meeting to return to some sort of normal after 2 difficult years.

SO please mark the date on your calendars and send in your reply by April 2ND (at the latest) so we can book the meal count.


Here are the details :
Date - Tuesday , April 19 TH

Where - St.Andrew's Church Hall (opposite Tim Horton's in Hepworth on CR 10 next to

              UPI station) / parking at the back and south side.

              Please enter the hall at the FRONT door


Time - Social starts at 5:30 PM when you will register, pay for your meal & get name tag.

             Business portion will start between 6 PM and 6:15 PM

             Meal will be served at 6:45 PM consisting of Juice , roll, a delicious

             ham & scalloped potato dinner with a hot vegetable, choice of pie , coffee & tea

             * the hall can hold up to 85 so we will do as much spacing

                of table place settings as we can
 

            A NON - ALCOHOLIC PUNCH WILL BE SERVED DURING THE SOCIAL

            TIME AS WE ARE UNABLE TO HAVE A BAR AT THE CHURCH HALL

Cost - $ 20.00

Dues - $10.00 (we have not collected dues during the pandemic

                       - these dues will be for the current 2022 year)

After Dinner Speaker - Doug Lein will be our after dinner speaker / Doug's 45 year career in policing and his specialty in Critical Incident Stress Management Counselling and extensive training in Terrorist Awareness will be extremely interesting and a timely topic.

NOTICE FOR OUR FINAL MEAL COUNT  / DON'T MISS OUT AS WE GET BACK TO
RECONNECTING WITH FELLOW MEMBERS / AS NORMAL, ONCE YOUR MEAL IS BOOKED 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO THE DINNER, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST.

October Dinner Meeting

 Honouring our Local Veterans

Date: Tuesday , October 18th

Location:  St.Andrew's Church Hall (opposite Tim Horton's in Hepworth on CR 10 next to UPI station)

             Dinner will be served at 6:45 PM and will include a pork chop

             dinner with mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes, mixed green

             and yellow beans, roll and butter and a choice of pie, tea

             and coffee.

*We will be collecting the 2023 Membership Fee at the Dinner Meeting so please bring along your $10.00 - Thank you                   

Please mark the date on your calendars and if you plan to attend it is important that you send in your reply by October 10th (at the latest) so that the appropriate number of meals can be ordered.

After Dinner Speaker :

Dave Alexander and Ryan McManaman will be our guest speakers for our Oct. 18 Dinner Meeting. Both have been involved in researching with secondary school students the history of veterans having attended high school in Owen Sound. They have led student tours of sites where action took place. They are also involved with the Billy Bishop Museum in Owen Sound.
