Spring Day Trip

Our Spring trip for the Men's Club is to the Owen Sound Waste Water Treatment Facility. The Date is May 7th with the tour Starting at 10:00 a.m. at the plant. The tour is approximately 1.5 hours long. Following the tour we will be heading to East Side Marios for lunch at about 12 noon. There will be 4 choices (Linguine Chicken, Braised Beef, Pizza & Salad, and Bacon Carbonara). We have a limit of 40 ( 2 groups of 20 touring at the same time) for this event and have 13 members signed up from our February 4th dinner meeting.

This is a car pooling event (please indicate if you can drive and number of passengers you can take when signing up). We will depart from the Sauble Beach Community Centre at 9:15 a.m. and arrive at the facility located at 2050 3rd Ave East ( just north of the Bayshore Community Centre) a little before 10 a.m. Please note: much of the tour is outside so good outdoor footwear and a jacket are recommended.

The Facility was built in 1962 and services 150km of sewer mains in Owen Sound. Updated in 2017 at a cost of $48 million dollars it handles 10 million litres of wastewater per day.
