Remembrance Day Wreath Laying

It is the tradition of our Men's Club members to gather on Remembrance Day to remember the sacrifices made by so many.  This year the service will be held on Monday, November 11th and we invite you to come and join other members as we honour these heroic men and women.  As is our custom one of of members will again lay a wreath on our behalf.  Be at the Hepworth Cenotaph by 10:45 to take in all the Service has to offer.

Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign

The Salvation Army's annual Christmas Kettle Campaign has been a huge success in no small measure because of the volunteer work of the Sauble & Area Men's Club.  Fretz's Valu-Mart in Sauble Beach is the venue for approximately 12 days during December.  Volunteers are required to 'man' the kettle for about two hours.  Your help is needed so please volunteer by calling or emailing our coordinator Dave Corbett.

Dave has written the following message for all our members:

"Good Day Men's Club Members, with our October dinner meeting approaching I would like to ask you all to consider volunteering for this year's Salvation Army Christmas kettle campaign.  We will be starting on December 5th, manning the kettle every Thursday, Friday and Saturday until  December 21st then every day until the 24th.  Please check your calendars and set aside 2 hours to help out with this worthy cause.  I will have signup sheets at the dinner meeting.

Thank you in advance."
